The site’s co-founder, Mark Frauenfelder, doesn’t want conservatives on his site. Yesterday, he mocked a Young America’s Foundation poster of conservative authors/figures (including yours truly) and joked about hanging us:
First, he quoted the promotional blurb about the poster from the YAF site, which begins, “Hang the leaders of the Conservative Movement on the wall in your office, home, or dorm!”
Frauenfelder’s comment: “They had me with the first seven words of their pitch.”
As I’ve pointed out before, Michelle Malkin apparently has no problem with this sort of “gallows humor” when it comes from her own side of the aisle.
And I don’t recall any outrage from Michelle Malkin when her colleagues made these (apparently serious) statements about hanging liberals:
“Howard Dean should be arrested for treason and either hung or put in a hole until the war’s over”
- Michael Reagan
“ In my opinion, [Madeleine Albright] should be tried for treason, and when she’s found guilty, she should be hung.”
- Michael Savage
Michelle Malkin says she has removed BoingBoing from her blogroll because of the offending remark. But the bloggers who made these remarks are still linked:
Misha of The Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler on the Supreme Court: “Five ropes, five robes, five trees. Some assembly required.” [7/11/06]
BC of The Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler on John Kerry: “Rope. Tree. Justice. The only three things that Qerry [sic] deserves for his ’service’.” [10/28/04]
There are many more examples I could quote but I’m in a hurry today. You get the idea.
