Michelle Malkin is an Idiot
Happy Thanksgiving

By Mary    ·     November 22nd, 2007 at 1:51 pm

Yes, I’m still alive. It’s been a busy week and I haven’t much felt like blogging Michelle Malkin’s crap.

I hope you are all having a great Thanksgiving. My family and I are about to head over the river and through the woods for a Thanksgiving dinner that can’t be beat.

I have much to be thankful for this year… my wonderful husband and family, the roof over our heads and the food in our cupboards and the blessings we too often take for granted…

A few months ago my daughter was struck and nearly killed by a drunk driver. Her injuries were horrible but it could have been much worse. She’s still here and for that I am truly thankful. And, oh yeah… at least the drunk driver was an American citizen. A repeat offender, uninsured, suspended-license-having, redneck American citizen, but at least he wasn’t one of those dirty ee-legal aliens. I can’t tell you how fucking thankful I am for that [/sarcasm]rolleyes.gif.

Have a wonderful holiday everyone, and as always, thanks for reading.

  4. Mary,

I just stumbled upon this website while googling Michelle Malkin. First let me say that I am glad your daughter is ok. I wish her a full recovery, and I wish you many happy Thanksgivings in the future for you and your family to enjoy.

Secondly, when I read one or two of your posts, I said a quick little prayer for you, hoping that the disdain that you seem to have for Michelle be relieved from you. I don’t say that to be patronizing, or belittling, and certainly not just to be contrary.

You seem to have a good hearty passion about things political, which is exactly what this country needs. But what moves people more, what influences people more, is not the name calling, or bad mouthing, but simple stated views behind a fire/passion that makes people want to understand where you are coming from.

I live near Evansville, IN, where during our recent Mayoral elections there was less than a 20% turnout in voting(versus total population), and the democrats here are more excited that they swept the elections than concerned over the horrid voter turnout.

If voters don’t stand up to take this country back, we will be doomed to lose our sovernity without even realizing it. People like you can lead the charge if you so choose, but choose to do it without the venom and you can make a world of difference.

  5. Gabriel,
I am sure Mary will have her own comments but let me note just how ironic your post is in terms of your “advice”.

“People like you can lead the charge if you so choose, but choose to do it without the venom and you can make a world of difference. ”

Oh but how nice the world would be if pundits like Malkin would follow this advice. Malkin has more venom for those who disagree with her than the average person does – almost to an unhealthy obssessiveness of her own. Moonbats, traitorous democrats, moonbats, unhinged, racist, etc. are all descriptions she has used in the past when addressing those who disagree with her.

  6. Reason,

I have no desire to begin an arguement on someone else’s website/blog. But I would suggest that you go back and re-read my post…and perhaps revisit the meaning of ironic, as there was nothing ironic in my post.

I did not say I like Malkin, support her, or even agree with her…and I said was that I was googling her. Nothing more, nothing less.

In fact, you support the point I was trying to make quite nicely. The Malkins of this world, people need to be very careful of, as they get paid to have an opinion and stance…and as you said, it often comes with venom attached to it.

As THE PEOPLE of the United States of America, we need to be making our own choices and decisions, and we need to demand better than kind of “conversation” that people such as Michelle Malkin promotes. She has opinions, which she is certainly entitled to, but so long as the venom is attached to it, she does more to break down the communication process rather than to facilitate it. That is sad, and in quite the opposite direction that the United States needs to be headed.
